The Fashion Retail Academy
I am an Associate lecturer with a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training qualification. This is a comprehensive industry-to-teaching development program for preparation for teaching in the 16+ and lifelong learning sectors.
I have developed and delivered final year degree modules, 'Cultural and Contextual Studies' and 'Internationalisation and Globalisation' for the Fashion Retail Academy.

I graduated from DeMontfort University in 2006 and it is always a pleasure to reconnect with the lecturers and students!
I have presented talks on my career journey with the students as well as led discussions and Q+A sessions on subjects such as sustainability, sourcing, e-commerce, and the post COVID-19 retail landscape.
I regularly present guest lectures and industry talks with other Colleges and Universities on a variety of industry topics.

Mentoring
The Outcrowd
In conjunction with 'The Outcrowd' an industry mentoring scheme, I partnered with a degree graduate to offer regular support, advice, and guidance as they embark on the start of their career.
It has been an incredibly rewarding experience and also allowed me the chance to see my mentee's collection at graduate fashion week (pictured right). Then, to help coach and guide her with preparations for interviews which have resulted in her successfully gaining a role in industry has been an incredibly proud moment !

Soho House Mentorship Program
In 2022 I joined the Creative Mentor Network in partnership with Soho Beach House, Brighton. They offer mentorship to young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds who want to forge careers in the creative industries.
After completing the program in November 2022, my mentee successfully secured a role in her chosen industry. I have since continued to support the Creative Mentor Network, undertaking interviews with young people for the 2023 intake of the program where I will once again be volunteering as a mentor.
